Week 1 of Pre Orders Down!
It’s officially been a week since we launched the Woodvilla Clothing website – and honestly, it still feels surreal seeing people buy something we created from scratch.
For those who don’t know, Woodvilla is more than just a football team. We’re a group of mates who’ve been running community-driven sports events for the past few years, always with one goal in mind: raise money for great causes. Since we started, we’ve raised over £5,000 through charity matches and small fundraisers.
This year, we’re going even bigger.
Our goal: £2,000 raised for Alzheimer’s Society – and it starts with this kit.
We’ve partnered officially with Alzheimer’s Society for this campaign, and 50% of profits from every kit sold go straight to them. The shirt design is meaningful too – no name on the back, as a small tribute to the memory loss Alzheimer’s causes.
But we’re doing things a little differently this year.
We launched the kit as a pre-order to reduce waste – not just of materials, but also of money. Starting a campaign like this without a budget is tough. Every pound we save on upfront costs is a pound that can go to Alzheimer’s Society. So we’ve relied heavily on word of mouth, friends reposting, and people buying in based on trust and the mission.
Working with Golden Hour for this campaign has been amazing. It’s helped us reach a wider audience who care about the same things – community, creativity, and doing good through football.
Now, we’ve got our first short-term goal in sight:
Sell 20 kits by the end of the week.
If we hit that, we’ll raise around £200 for Alzheimer’s Society from kit sales alone – and that’s before our charity match fundraising even begins.
We know 20 might not sound huge, but when you’re starting from zero, every single order means everything. It means more reach, more impact, and more belief that we can actually hit that £7,000 goal.
